“UNREALISTIC AND INADEQUATE”: ERA’s stance on Animal Transport Proposal
In December 2023, the European Commission published a legislative proposal on the protection of animals during transport. In this context, the Commission opened a public consultation, the results of which will be summarized and presented to the Parliament and the Council to feed into the legislative debate. In this regard, the European Rabbit Association (ERA) shared its preliminary remarks on the proposal.
ERA Board Meeting: A sector keen to grow stronger
On the 30th of November 2023, the Board meeting of the European Rabbit Association (ERA) took place in Brussels in a nice and constructive atmosphere. Over the last three years, the Spanish inter professional rabbit organization (INTERCUN), in collaboration with the Portuguese Association of Rabbit Farmers (ASPOC), successfully executed the European promotion campaign for rabbit meat, titled “The Secret is Rabbit Meat”.
ERA joins ELV: working together to protect and promote the advantages of EU livestock farming
The European Rabbit Association is now a member of the European Livestock Voice (ELV), a coalition of European stakeholders in the EU livestock sector, united to promote the social and global value of livestock production and provide a balanced perspective in ongoing debates.
